I have got a chance to test of Acer newer product that looks pretty amazing in term of performance and the design. Here, it packs so much power into very thin chassis that actually very impossible to do. Their work on designing the design needs to give so much applause because the result is pretty amazing. The thickness itself is only at 0.7 inches and they could pack Nvidia Max-Q graphic card on the inside. That GPU later is combined with great audio quality and G-sync display.
Well, the product is pretty amazing, but here you also have to be prepared with the price that fantastic for a gaming laptop. There are also some drawbacks in term performance because of its slim design. Do you think the laptop is worth for the price? We would find it soon in this discussion.
We are going to see it deeper on this article and see how it performs in some conditions and test. Then, you can make the consideration if it’s worth or not. To make it easier for you to understand, lets we jump into the article.
All of the design finally moves away from the common red and black color style that we see on many other products. The design lacks of some kinds of audacious, but I still see so many improvements over the previous released. Here, the Predator logo is placed in center of its aluminum lid and give sense of premium taste.
The inside is the one that feel attractive here although you probably need to get used with it. I was so surprised that they did not put the trackpad below the keyboard. In return, they put it all away into the bottom edge. I see it as unusual thing and I need to get used on it for some hours. One thing that I need to stress is located on display, it uses of Gorilla Glass and swiping or navigating through the system is effortlessly. I really love of this feature.back to menu ↑
Display And Audio
The 15.6 inch matte display is combined with 1920 x 1080 resolution that resulting of bright and vivid images. The detail is very sharp and I could see every detail on full HD movie that I was streaming during the test. That good thing is only possible if the color reproduction is great. Here, it can produce of 116 percent of SRGB gamut and only slightly far behind from Razer Blade that is able to produce the 178 percent of gamut. The overall quality is impressive and worth for the price.
As for audio, I think the Trition could easily blow your minds easily with the sounds. I am not an audiophile, but I was able to feel my bedroom filled with its amazing sounds that deep in vocal and details. The Dolby Atmos software also plays the role here by providing so many enhancements for multi genre music. The automatic setting is good enough, but we could play a little with the manual setting for better experience.
|Predator Triton 700||Main Specs|
|CPU||Intel Core i7-7700HQ 7th Gen 2.8 GHZ|
|Graphics||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080|
|OS||Windows 10 Home|
|Memory||32GB DDR4 Memory|
Acer packed the Triton 700 with Intel Core I7 7700HQ and Nvidia GTX 1080 Max-Q. You probably know that GTX 1080 is a very powerful GPU that could run newer games on the maximum setting. I have tried to run of Shadow of War and Assassin Creed Origin and the performance is very smooth on different situations. The 60 framerate is stable and I only found few drops on most crowded situations, but it’s not happened every time.
The same result is also happened with some E-sport games such as DOTA 2 or even Overwatch. All of the setttings are on max and it runs smoothly like butter. The price is really talking here and you get the maximum experience as the result. The only problem I found here is only on the temperature which seems worst on this case. 1 or 2 hours on game is not a big problem, but once you do it for more than those times, the temperature will increase drastically and it feels quite hot somehow. The AeroBlade 3D Fans are not that working to solve this issue. The problem is not too annoying and it does not give any impact to the performance, but never ever try to touch of its glass during this condition.back to menu ↑
Those are information I know about it. I believe that this laptop is probably one of the best that I have seen on the 2017. The performance is wise though it packs with very slim design. Sadly, it needs to be paid on the temperature that could be really hot. I just hope Acer is able to fix this problem with their software update. It backs on you on deciding, so feel free to make any choice. At last, thank you for reading the article and see you again.
