Dell Inspiron 7000 is truly our answer for affordable 2 in 1 laptop that comes with great specifications. It has everything we need in order to support our productivity. The power itself is great with Intel Sky Lake processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD that could store as many files as we want. Those specifications hard to find on laptop for under 800 dollars. If you are looking for a replacement for your old machine, then this one might be your best choice.
I got the chance to review this unit as my friends bought it two weeks ago. I asked him for letting me to review it and let me to do it. Well, I got so many good things to say for it. This could be your consideration if the device is really that worth to buy or not.
That is what we are going to talk about here. We are going to talk about it further on this article and see how it performs on handling multiple tasks. To make it easier for you to understand, lets we jump into the article.
The design is very sleek and yet simple. Its metal body looks good in silver color. The only accessory it brings on the lid is the Dell logo that offers the identity for where it’s coming from. When, you open it inside, you would be welcomed by island type keyboard that made in black and a silver touchpad that fits nicely with the 1080p screen. Both of sides and top bezels are slim and it feels strong as I open and closes it for many times.
The machine is marketed as convertible and means we are able to flip it back into 360 degree for a tablet mode. The hinge like I said before is strong and flexible. You are not going to have any problem on swapping the mode. The rubber grip on its base is also helping you to provide good resistance when we put it on different modes.
I personally love swapping and turning it back since the dimension and weight are slim and sleek. It’s measured at 12.7 x 8.8 x 0.7 inches with the weight for 5.4 pounds. I do not consider it as the slimmest one, but that thing is good enough as we could throw it easily into our backpack. I guess you should not have any problem on bringing it on the travel.back to menu ↑
Display And Keyboard
The display is bright and sharps. I have tested it and it was able to reproduce of 110 percent of gamut color. The result is actually great where it easily defeats ASUS Transformer Pro and only slightly behind of Lenovo Yoga 720. The viewing angle is also great although I did notice the difference when I see it straight away. The quality is still acceptable and even great for the price.
As for the keyboard, it somehow feels stiff since the keyboard is too shallow for some reasons. The keys only have 1.1 mm millimeters travel distant and should take a while to get used with it. Luckily, I am still able to type for more than 80 words per minute without any problem. You just need to get used with for a while and you will never face any problem.
|Dell Inspiron 7000||Main Specs|
|CPU||Intel Core I5 7200U 2.5 GHZ|
|Graphics||Intel HD Integrated Card|
|Memory||8GB DDR4 Memory|
Performance is something to proud of here. The Intel Core I5 7220U really shows its power. The processor is not really that new and considered as old, but remember the jump off from Intel Sky Lake and Kaby Lake is not that much in power. The case is different on the 8TH generation since most laptops now are still available in higher price. This processor still allows you to do any activity without finding any lag there and there.
The battery is probably the biggest weakness to find on this case. It runs only for around 6 hours and 30 minute in single charge. I really hope it lasts for around 8 hours, but sadly this is the fact. The only solution for improving the battery is by reducing the screen brightness and put it into the power saving mode. Then, we would get more juice for around 10 hours. Well, that the price for its cheap tag.back to menu ↑
Those are information I know about it. People who are searching business laptop should make their way here as it promises so many good things. The performance is wise and features a great design. Those great combinations are good enough to cover its poor battery life. The choice is yours, so feel free to make any move. I just hope the information provided is good enough for you. At last, thank you for reading the article and see you again.
